Up and coming sailor Josh Harvey is the latest sailor to join the Allgoodfun team, and has straight away had some excellent results - heres his Zone championship details - that they won !!
Day 1. 6 29ers entered the RYA SE Zone champs. With light winds on both days 5-8mph along with around 130 other boats out.
in the first race we had a very good start and we went on to win by a few minutes, in race 2 we had yet anouther good start and went on to win by about 5 mins, so we were both were happy. But in the 3 and final race of day one we were leading for most of the race and went from 1st to 4th as we thought it was 3 laps and not 2 laps, which was a bit of a bummer.
Day 2. The conditions were pretty much the same as day 1, in the 4th race out of 5 luke the helm missed the toe strap and fell out the side, and managed to bend the tiller extension quite badly, so we had to retire and go back ashore to repair the tiller extension and quickly launched again to make the final start. We had to win the final race to win overall, so that was something to keep in our minds .We had a good start again and we held the lead throughout the race and took the win comfortably, overall we won the SE Zone champs in the 29er fleet.
